OUTFIT POST // LADY IN LEATHER

Hi! So this is my second outfit post, and I would absolutely love it if you let me know what you think :)

This is the outfit I wore on Christmas Day, and have worn a couple of times since. I really love it because it's the sort of outfit that works if you're going out  to a restaurant or for a night out, or if you just want to look smart-casual for a day out shopping. I got both the pleather skirt and printed shirt from Miss Selfridge in the pre-Christmas sale they had on. They were definitely bargains, and to be honest I couldn't believe someone hadn't already snapped them up!

My favourite part about the skirt is the gorgeous colour, it's a burgundy/brown, and I haven't come across another like it! I paid £14 for it, and it look so much more expensive, plus, its so easy to style up or down, I've definitely got my wear out of it. I was on the look out for a leather skirt, but some I saw were so 'out-there' I really didn't know if I would wear them, so I was so glad when I saw this. As for the shirt, the material is gorgeous, almost satin like. My only bug is that there has been some fraying at some of the stitches, but I can't really complain as just like the skirt, I've had a fair bit of wear out of it.

The necklace I'm wearing was a christmas present from my lovely boyfriend, who ventured into Zara and picked it out. He definitely did well, as it's just my style! The half gold and half silver chain is really unique, and I have worn it with just about every shirt I own, it honestly goes with everything!

Have you got a pleather skirt? What do you think about the leather trend..?x

Sunday Shoe Lust!

It has to be said, I have a serious shoe-shopping addiction, I'd take a gorgeous pair of boots over a huge bar of chocolate any day. So, I've decided to dedicate today's post to some boots that caught my eye (and haven't left my brain since) from Forever 21

These AMAZING genuine leather booties come in two styles, leopard pony hair and black suede, so I really can't choose which is my favourite! The four inch block heel is just right for me (being 6 foot tall anything above that height can turn me into a bit of a giant) and lets be honest, block heels are so much easier to walk in. Plus, I absolutely love the zip-front detail, which I do seem to be a little obsessed with at the moment as I really think it makes any shoe look 100x cooler.

I think these boots would go perfectly with a pair of jeans and my trusty leather jacket for a smart-casual daytime look, as well as adding a little bit of rock and roll to a little black dress. Also they'd be perfect for a night out, as I wouldn't have to take a spare pair of flats in my bag! I'm still debating whether or not to find £55.90 to spend on these gorgeous booties, but while I decide, there's no harm in drooling over them for just a bit longer!

Are there any shoes you're really lusting over at the moment?...x

Outfit Post // Tea Party with a Twist

Hi! So this is my first ever outfit post, and after much deliberation I decided to take the plunge and feature one of my favourite dresses for this season, my New Look Paisley Print Tea Dress! I bought this dress a couple of months back, and it stood out from the rails straight away. The bold paisley print and gorgeous deep colours fit my style perfectly, and I wish I'd seen it earlier as it would've been the perfect Autumn dress to wear with a pair of thick tights and boots for daytime, or a pair of glam heels and accessories for evenings.

I immediately fell in love with both the print and the slightly dipped neckline of this dress, and picked it up for (what I thought was) a bargain £22.99, however just my luck for it to then go in the sale and be reduced to just £7!! The flattering fit and tie around make it the perfect tea dress with a twist, plus, I'm a strong believer in having a piece of clothing that you can re-invent to last you longer, and I'm sure this dress is going to last me well into summer because I love thinking of new ways to wear it!

Do you have a piece of clothing you just can't stop wearing..?x

My 'if money was no object' Wishlist!

Hi! I'm super excited as this is my first ever post on my blog! I've been wanting to get blogging for absolutely ages, so it feels so good to finally be able to start writing. As it's my first post, I thought I'd start with a small introduction to my style and the clothes I love, and what better way to do that than with a 'If Money was no Object' post (I can always dream...).

These are a couple of items I've majorly fallen in love with, but will probably never be able to afford (or justify paying for). They make up an outfit that I'd wear for any occasion I could, as I love any excuse to dress up, but I really think they'd be perfect for a posh meal or big night out.

1. Satin Dress // Topshop     2. Necklace // Kate Spade     3. Perspex Clutch // Lulu Guinness     4. Court Shoes // Kurt Geiger

1) I cannot believe how much I love this dress! I'm a little bit obsessed with high neck dresses, tops and jumpers at the moment, so when I saw this on my monthly trawl of the Topshop website I fell in love straight away. The satin material is something I have never really worn, but I'd love to try out. At £90 it's not the most expensive item on my wishlist, so it might be something I consider investing in (after a few months of saving).

2) I'm a sucker for a statement necklace, and this chic beauty from Kate Spade caught my eye straight away. I love the classic colour and sparkle! It's perfect for glamming up a dress or adding a touch of glitter to an everyday jumper!

3) If there's one brand I've been obsessed with for the past few months, it has to be Lulu Guinness. Endless visits to the website where I spent a little bit too long looking at the bags and clutches have given me a bit of motivation to save, although I'm not sure how long it will take me to save up a spare £245 for this gorgeous dusky pink iconic Lip clutch.

4)These super pretty Kurt Geiger court shoes are something I've been lusting after for ages. I don't own any designer shoes, I mostly just window shop, but these are definitely a pair that caught my eye straight away because of the gorgeous colour (as you can tell my favourite colour of the moment is definitely pale pink!) which I could literally wear with anything!

So that's my current 'If money was no object' wishlist, I hope you've enjoyed reading! I'd love it if you left me a comment below letting me know what you think :) What are your favourite expensive items...? What's the first thing you'd buy if money was no object..?x
